The Ancient Outpost
Every world holds one Ancient outpost, sealed deep under the ice. It is the only place in the game where the Control Chair and a working Zero Point Module can be found.
Finding it
It lies deep under the ice of a snowy plain or an ice spike field. From above it is only a low mound of ice under the snow, easy to walk past. The broken plate tells you exactly where.

Dig through the snow on top of the mound. A shaft of blue ice drops about thirty blocks with a ladder down its side, and at the bottom an ice cave leads to a breach in the outpost's wall.

A hexagonal hall sealed in ice. At its centre stands the Control Chair, with a nearly spent Zero Point Module in its panel, and an Ancient Scanner hangs on the wall.
Passages lead east to a drone bay and a stasis chamber, and west to a ring room and a control room.
Before you sit down: the chair only answers to someone with the Ancient gene.
